This class is an introduction to making bezels. The above
image gives you some ideas of what can be done with bezels. In
this class we will make a pendant or a pair of earrings using
round or oval stones. You can also set a stone in a bracelet
component. So sorry, we wont be working with cuffs or rings
in this class.
Pre-requisite: Basic fabrication and basic soldering skills. |

What to bring to class:
- An apron
- Ultra-fine Sharpie
- 2 feet each of hard, medium and easy wire solder
- Sheet metal for your project. (22g is often good for earrings,
20 or 22g for pendants)
- Round or oval cabochons
- 26 g bezel wire in the width to match your stones
PLEASE WEAR CLOSE TOED SHOES TO CLASS.
Available for purchase in class:
- Selection of stones
- Bezel wire in various dimensions
- Hard, medium and easy wire solder
- Copper/silver sheet metal; contact us 2 wks prior to class
to ensure we have available
- Jumbo Maxi Flame Torch (great for use in the home, apartments,
etc.)
- Other soldering supplies such as pickle, flux, soldering picks,
etc.
Please dont bring other tools to class. I will have
everything you need. |
