My approach to teaching is to help you develop both technical skills, and design skills. Like a bird, both wings are needed to soar through the air in this delightful adventure of making wire jewelry. You will learn wire and sheet metal techniques to create a specific project. And, you will become acquainted with design principles, such as color, balance, movement, negative space, and texture. I am especially interested in working with you to develop your own unique style.

If you are coming from out of town, taking classes with us is pretty easy, especially if you stay at the Mission Inn, Old Town San Diego (formerly Holiday Inn Express). They have a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. There are oodles of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Please note: A few of the two day classes are scheduled other than on Saturday and Sunday.

Airport and Hotel Information:

We have one airport, San Diego International Airport, at Lindbergh Field. A taxi costs about $20 and will take about 20 minutes to get to class. It is less costly by shuttle but less predictable on how long the drive will take. Regarding hotel reservations, people tell me making reservations on line is often less expensive.

Mission Inn, Old Town San Diego
(formerly Holiday Inn Express) This hotel provides free airport shuttle. Many yummy restaurants are within walking distance. You can make reservations by calling the hotel at 619-299-7400. During the summer months it is more difficult to obtain a reservation. 3900 Old Town Avenue, San Diego CA 92110.

How To Enroll:

Registration begins on Tuesday, January 24th at 9 AM Pacific Time. Please e-mail Connie at cfox@san.rr.com indicating what class (or classes) you are interested in taking. For all of you eager souls, please wait until 9 AM! I will respond and let you know if you are enrolled. Once enrolled, I will send you an e-mail with a link to pay for the class by credit card (Visa, MC, Discover, Amex). I will maintain a waiting list in all classes, thus, if you don't get in now, you might get in later.

1) I want to sign up for multiple classes. Can I pre-register? Sorry, no.

2) Are you going to send me an e-mail on the morning of the 24th to let me know registration has begun? No, just send me an e-mail of what class you want. e-mail Connie at cfox@san.rr.com

3) How soon should I tell you I want to be in a class? As close to 9 AM Pacific Time on January 24th as possible. I am grateful that the classes fill up quickly.
