This advanced class combines two of my favorite skills
setting cabochons with prongs and making cuffs. In order to take
the class, I am asking that you have already taken my class in
prong setting. You also need to have decent soldering skills.
We will be using specific techniques to get accurate placement
of the prongs. The cuff can be textured in a variety of ways.
We will cover forming and sizing of the cuff. We will be aiming
for completing one cuff in this two day class.
Pre-requisites: This is an advanced class for students
who have completed my class on Prong Setting and have fairly
good soldering skills. |

Please bring to class (these items also
for sale prior and during class):
- 20 gauge sterling silver sheet metal for cuff foundation (copper
or brass can be used)
- Additional 20 gauge sheet metal for cabochon placement
- Cabochon
- 18 gauge sterling silver wire (2 feet)
- 2 feet each of hard, medium, and easy solder
- Note book to take notes
- Copy of Seller's permit if you want to avoid paying taxes on
supplies
You will not need to bring tools and large containers to
class. I am requesting that you not bring tool cases with
you so the floor space is clear. |
