| Learning To Use Your Flex Shaft - Class Description |
| |

Sample of a few of the accessories you will use in class. |
|
| |
I have talked to many people who purchased a flex shaft and it has not made it out of the box. If you are in this group, don’t feel bad. It is difficult to approach a power tool when you have not been taught how to use it. With this one day class you will learn how to use the flex shaft safely, how to care for it, and how to use 20+ flex shaft accessories. You will be making samples of each accessory that you can later refer to in your jewelry projects.
Pre-requisite: None. |
| |
What to bring to class:
- 20+ each of 1.5” x 1.5” pieces of 20 g copper sheet metal
- You will be given a plastic sheet with small compartments for your samples
- Dust mask
- Safety glasses
Note: You will be required to wear safety glasses throughout the class. I do have safety glasses for your use but you may prefer a new, unmarred pair. If you need magnification, you might be interested in wearing bi-focal safety classes. Here is one source:
