This bracelet is called "oodles of spirals". The chain is made-up with garage links which I learned from Connie Fox in Step by Step Wire. I added two layers of spirals, the first layer with large spirals and overlaid the large spirals with smaller spirals. I love the way the bracelet feels on my wrist and the movement of the spirals. I have recently redesigned this piece by adding another layer of small spiral on the other side of the larger spirals-three layers total.

I have taken several classes from Connie Fox, most recently, the free form cuff. What an awesome design, one of my favorite classes thus far. I look forward to making many more free cuff bracelets. My favorite Step by Step Wire issues are issues that feature Connie's tutorials. I have learned so much from them. Email Jeanette.

This is a brangle I made using Connie's basic brangle instructions from one of my first beading magazine. I was mostly using beads and shells for bracelets and necklaces before attempting wire work. I live on a barrier island in Southern New Jersey and pick up all my shells as I walk the beach, usually with my 2 dogs. My husband and I tumble and polish them and then I incorporate them into a piece to jewelry. I have taken 2 of Connie's classes in Philadelphia over the last 3 years. Working with wire has added a new dimension to presenting the shells.

This piece also contains Karen Hill Tribe silver beads, a trade bead, a jade Buddha face and a pewter sea horse charm. I sell my jewelry at a local shop owned by a friend. People seem to enjoy having a piece of their beach vacation to take home with them. Email Kate.

I recently completed this bracelet using a variation of the Byzantine chain maille pattern. I used sterling silver jump rings and clasp. After many years of concentrating in beads, I discovered the art of chain maille and the beauty of creating jewelry solely from jump rings. I took a class with Connie a few years ago and realized the impact of working with wire and beads.

This is a bracelet that I made because I LOVE swirls and I was trying to design something around that theme. The swirls are formed, soldered, hammered and attached using jump rings and a handmade clasp and a large closed jump ring. The piece is handcrafted using 16g sterling silver wire. I especially like the way the clasp fits right into the design. Thanks to Connie for all of your tutorials and generosity with your knowledge. What an inspiration! Email Pat.

This bangle is 12g sterling, with 18g coil beads. I got the idea for the wavy shape when a lampwork order arrived in an envelope and the wire securing the beads had twisted--I just liked the way it looked and played with the beads and wire until I was happy with the result. I'm constantly fascinated with the direction wire & metal work takes me. I began bending wire 2 years ago because I wanted a pair of chandelier earrings. I love the feel of working with metal, and enjoy heavier gauges of wire as well as sheet. I begin with a basic design or idea and let the project unfold, often with a different result from my original intention! Email Judy.
