I made this pair of earrings to go with the Bewitching Bracelet
that I made in Connie's class in September. I had some corrugated
silver leftover from the bracelet and decided to use them in
the earrings. The lampwork beads were also made by me. |

These earrings are called "Balance". These earrings
are a balance between steel, which I love to work in, and stones.
Turquioise and pearls are a favorite combination of mine as I
like the balance between the delicate pearls and the earthy turquoise. Email Deryn |

These are a pair of silver wire earrings I made this past
summer. The double teardrop is made with a single piece of S/S
wire - I just wish I could remember how I twisted the darn things!
On the bottom are S/S beads of increasing size, separated by
finer gauge silver wire that's connected to both the inner and
outer teardrops.
I started learning to work with beads and wire earlier this spring,
and over the last few weeks I have taken some of Connie's classes,
including Bewitching Bracelets and Cold Joints. I really enjoyed
learning to work with the sheet metal and get a rush out of torching
the silver! I hope to be able to take more classes next season. Email Tanya. |

I was fortunate to take Connie's Earring class in Idyllwild
during Metals Week this past June. These "Fish Lure"
earrings are enameled on preformed copper. They include a transparent
glass disk and a brass dangle. Email

Prairie Tempo Earrings. I was fortunate to have been in Connie's very first colored anodized aluminum class. Reminiscent of the Andrew Lloyd Wright Prairie-style stained glass, these earrings were hand-colored with specialized alcohol inks and hand-stamped onto anodized aluminum with Staz-On ink. Selected sections were riveted to hand-fabricated copper sheet metal with mini brass nuts and bolts. 14k gold ear wires. This class was the precursor to Connie's Colored Aluminum Bracelet class where you will find our inspiration piece in Connie's Gallery. Connie, you make me look like a star! Thanks as always.Email Judith |
