This necklace is called "Lifted Up". This piece
demonstrates my love of mixed media. I love to combine found
and unusual objects, beads and my own images. The centerpiece
of this necklace is a transfer of one of my own cemetery photos
that's been done on mica and backed with an antique Bible page.
Most themes in my jewelry are spiritually motivated. Email

What it means to me: Doing wirework gives me an opportunity
to utilize the lampwork beads I make into something beautiful
and wearable. I love being able to express myself in jewelry!
This necklace was made with handmade lampwork beads (my own)
and wirework skills I learned in Connie's class. Thanks so much
for this opportunity! |

This wire wrapped pendant is made using a lamp work bead of
my daughter, Shannon Stevens. I am always looking for ways to
enhance her wonderful beads and had never seen a bead framed
this way. I usually hang the pendant from a hand forged collar
or sterling neck chain.
The wire working techniques used in this piece I learned largely
from Connie's web tutorials. Thank you for the opportunity to
have a piece of our jewelry on your web site. Email
Sally. |
