Jump Ringer System - Standard

The Standard Jump Ringer System is the most economical choice in making round jump rings. This system comes with three mandrels that are 3 ¾ inches long (diameters: .94”, .0141”, and .234”). From top to bottom, the system includes a coiled holder, blade arbor with blade and blade guide, a winder, 3 mandrels and a Jacob’s key.

Both the Standard and High Production Jump Ringer Systems require a motor to operate them. The manufacturer is specific about what motor should be used to power the equipment. He recommends the Foredom Flex shaft

Foredom Flex Shaft

To keep the motor cool and to extend the life of your blade, use a stick lubricant such as Cut Lube. The stick is applied to the coil before cutting. Instruction are provided with the Jump Ringer System.

Cut Lube

Although the Standard Jump Ringer System comes with 3 mandrels, you may want to consider purchasing a set of 16 round mandrels. You will thus have easy access to making a large variety of jump ring diameters.

The following pictures are meant to give you a better idea what Standard Jump Ring System looks like in operation. When you purchase your system, you will be provided written instructions and be given a contact for tech support just in case you have questions.

Making the Coil on the Winder

The coil is resting in the coil holder ready to be cut. A plate with a vertical grove covers the coil holder.

Blade Arbor with Blade and Blade Guide
Instructions in your kit will illustrate how to assemble these parts. You will also be instructed in how to cut the rings.
