I utilize two powerful, evidence-based treatment methods in my work with people, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I often work with people who have these concerns: relationship problems, depression, grief, anxiety, anger management, and trauma. I worked for 12 years with men and women with domestic violence issues.
For people who want to focus solely on improving their communication skills, I offer coaching services. Please see my website, Communicate with Skill, for more information on these services. As noted below, coaching can take place via the Internet for residents throughout the US, and San Diego residents can see me in my office if they prefer.
Initial Phone Consultation
When you contact me, I’ll address your concerns and answer your questions. Payment options will be covered and we can potentially set a time for an initial appointment.

During your first appointment, you’ll be able to tell me in more depth what your concerns are, and I will explain how we might work together. By the end of the session we can decide if your needs and my skills are a good match. If they are, we can set a time for the next session.
I have morning and evening appointments available Monday – Thursday in my Mission Valley office. I also see people Saturday mornings.
Some people prefer to schedule Internet appointments because of convenience, or they live too far away from my office. I use a secure video chat site that clients can plug into via a computer.
